Our flower story began in 2010. We lost our second baby to a miscarriage. In remembrance of our baby, we dedicated a small rose garden in our backyard. We wanted something that would come back every year to remember her and have something to look forward to come spring. Every year we would tend to her needs, growing and adding more to the garden. We discovered the beauty of flowers is powerful and deeply healing, and we soon realized that we were bitten by the flower bug. That incredible sense of peace, joy and contentment are felt while tending to the flowers. God blessed us with another child 5 years later and we found another place for our growing family. But our love for flowers lives on. These days, not only are we growing roses, we also grow zinnias, cosmos, dahlias, rudbeckias, sunflowers and other flowers and fillers. While we love all the flowers that are grown in our garden, roses will always have a special place in our hearts.
We are busy planting and piping our dreams but never too busy to stop and smell the flowers.
Thank you for checking us out. We hope our story inspires you to start growing your own little garden...to get lost in all its beauty, to heal and find your way back home.
Song of Songs 2:12
“Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.”
Gardening is quite therapeutic for me. It is where I get lost to find myself. I am inspired by French country and English cottage gardens, and I love growing all kinds of flowers and vegetables.
I love to bake! What can I say? I have a sweet tooth. I love fudgy chocolate cakes with pastry cream filling that I make from scratch.
I love flowers, too! So, why not mix the two and create edible flowers.
I love dinners at home! I enjoy cooking for my family and friends, and dress up the dining table full of good food, surrounded by family and friends.
